LOKI commits to protect your privacy.

We take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the legal data protection regulations as well as this privacy policy. We use your personal information to enable your account and to improve your online experience. By using our website, you agree to the collection and use of your information by us, in accordance with this Privacy Policy. In the eventuality of the modification of our Privacy Policy, we will post those changes on this page.

We respect the right of our users to remain anonymous, we will not disclose the identity of our customers unless under the requirement of a court of law.

The database of our customers’ details will be treated in a strictly confidential way. All the information collected on this website will not be shared with a third part, sold, rented, or disclosed. 

In collaboration with our hosting provider, we make every effort to protect the databases against unauthorized access, data loss, data misuse or forgery. We would like to point out that data transmission on the internet can have security gaps. A complete protection of data against access by third parties is impossible.

The personal information regarding the name, e-mail, phone number, address and payment details are needed for the correct processing and fulfillment of the orders placed by our customers. 

It is also useful for us for maintaining your account. Cookies are small files that are placed on your computer, mobile device, or any other device by a website, containing the details of your browsing history on that website among its many uses. 
Our cookies do not store any personally identifying information, they allow you placing your orders in our online shop.

Our store is hosted on WooCommerce. They provide us with an online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. Your data is stored through WooCommerce’s data storage, databases, and the general WooCommerce application. While you visit our store, we’ll track:

  • Products you’ve viewed: we’ll use this to, for example, show you products you’ve recently viewed
  • Location, IP address and browser type: we’ll use this for purposes like estimating taxes and shipping
  • Shipping address: we’ll ask you to enter this so we can, for instance, estimate shipping before you place an order, and send you the order!

We’ll also use cookies to keep track of cart contents while you’re browsing our site. 

 

Payments
Our webstore is powered by WooCommerce, which accepts all major payment cards and uses Stripe and PayPal as their payment gateway. All prices are charged in Swiss Francs (CHF) and this will be exchanged to your local currency by your bank or card issuer. When processing payments, some of your data will be passed to the payment gateway, including information required to process or support the payment, such as the commission total and payment information.

Newsletter – MailChimp
If you would like to receive the newsletter offered on this website, we require and e-mail address from you as well as information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the provided e-mail address and that you agree to receive the newsletter. Further data will not be collected. We use this data exclusively for sending the requested information.

Our newsletter is sent via the dispatch service provider “MailChimp”, a platform of the US supplier Rocket Science Group LLC, 675 Ponce De Leon Ave NE #5000, Atlanta, GA 30308, USA. You can view the data protection regulations of the mailing service provide 
here. The Rocket Science Group LLC d/b/a MailChimp is certified under the Privacy-Shield Agreement and thus offers a guarantee to comply with the European data protection level. This dispatch service provider is used based on our legitimate interests according to Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f DSGVO and an order processing contract according to Art. 28 Para. 3 S. 1 DSGVO. The mail dispatch service provider may use the recipient’s data in pseudonymous form, i.e. without allocation to a user, to optimize or improve its own services, e.g. for technical optimization of the dispatch and presentation of the newsletters or for statistical purposes. However, the dispatch service provider does not use the data of our newsletter recipients to write to them itself or to pass the data on to third parties.

LOKI Studio


COURSES, WORKSHOPS AND CLASSES 

Cancellation policy
No refund for cancellations made after 5 days before the start of the course. No refunds are possible once the course/workshop has started. It is the student’s responsibility to be present at all sessions. In case of absence to only one class we offer the possibility of recover it. No refunds are provided for reserved courses and workshops with discounts or promotions of any kind.

Your finished works
We recommend collecting your finished work as soon as possible. We will keep all finished work for one month. After that we will contact the creator of the work by email. If there is no response in the following two weeks, we will dispose of the uncollected object or donate it to second hand shops.

Objects produced during the course will be fired twice and this may cause shrinkage, a warping or cracking of the object. Glaze colors may vary from the original test. No refunds will be given for unsatisfactory results of any kind or broken pieces.

WORKSPACE

Cancellation policy
No refund for cancellations made after 12 hours before the start of the session.

Studio introduction
In order to use the studio in a safe and optimal way a mandatory introduction is scheduled with every new user of the studio after the first booking. The introduction session lasts approximately 15 minutes and is free of charge. We recommend coming to the studio for a 15 minutes preview at the beginning of the booked workspace slot for the introduction. The new user will be provided with a summary of the introduction by email, immediately after enrolling for their first workspace session.

Beginners
Beginners who reserve the pottery wheel must have done a pottery wheel course of at least 5 hours at LOKI Studio or another studio. 

Cleaning
After each session at the studio, all users are requested to clean their workstation and the used tools and materials.

Extend the session
If there is availability of space, the work session can be extended after agreement with our staff, the extra hours must be paid directly at the studio.

Atmosphere and consideration of the others
LOKI studio is designed to be a calm place where people can create within a peaceful atmosphere. For this reason we kindly ask you to not talk too loudly and to act by respecting the peaceful atmosphere of the studio. We also ask you to consider those around you by taking up only as much space as you need to work. Please treat everyone and everything with respect.

Smoking
Smoking inside the studio is not allowed. Our terrace is provided with a smoking area.

Your finished works

We do not send an email when the workspace user’s creations have been fired and ready to take home. Upon request we can send an email once the creations are ready. 

Your work-in-progress works
We will keep all finished work for two month. After that we will contact the creator of the work by email. If there is no response in the following two weeks, we will throw away the creations.

Trays with creations must be marked with the name and execution date of the creations. For objects without name and date they will be thrown away by our staff after one month.

Technical issues and breakages
We will handle and fire all of your creations with attention and care, in order to minimize the risk of technical failures and breakage. However by nature of the pottery work there is always a risk of breakage and damaging of objects during the firing process, which we cannot be held responsible for. Whenever this happens the costs of production of the broken object are not charged to the customer

MEMBERSHIP

Cancellation policy
Our membership system uses an automatic monthly billing system directly through the given payment method, until the customer cancels the membership. It is the customer’s responsibility to cancel the membership in time. The membership cancellation can be done in the customer dashboard under “Membership > Cancel membership”.

All workspace reservations made are lost at the moment of the unsubscription from the membership!

Workspace booking
Each LOKI studio member has the opportunity of booking an unlimited number of sessions each month. In order to make the booking and use the space the member needs to have a valid membership, both at the moment of the booking and during the workspace session. If the user unsubscribes from the membership, all the bookings are canceled and the user is not allowed to use the workspace, unless a  single workspace session is purchased.

It is mandatory to book the workspace sessions in advance. The booked session can be canceled until 2 hours before the beginning of the session. In the case of no show without notification, the member is required to pay a penalty fee of 30 CHF.

Discount on courses/workshops and material
Each member benefits from a 30% discount on all courses and workshops and from a discount 5 CHF/Kg on the material. In order to benefit from the discount on the courses and workshops the member needs to have an active membership until the day of the last class. If the membership subscription is canceled before the end of the course, the attendee is requested to pay back the discounted amount. The discount on the material is applicable only if the user has the membership during the production of the goods and at the moment of the payment of the material. Whenever these conditions are not satisfied the user is requested to pay the regular material price which is 30 CHF/Kg.

Storage space
A small storage space is at disposal for our customers purchasing a membership. Each member can require a small storage box. All the user’s belongings must find and be stored inside the box. All the personal objects must be collected in the month following the end of the membership contract. Any item found outside or left in the studio one month after the expiry of the membership will be disposed of.


Health and Safety
Your safety is important to LOKI, we take serious approaches to ensure the healthiest working conditions for our users and staff. The users of the studio work at their own risks with awareness of health hazards caused by the working with clay including but not limited to exposure to fine dust, use of high temperature equipment, use of sharp and cutting tools, possible exposure to toxic materials. Users must respect the safety guidelines given by the staff at any time while using the studio. LOKI studio is not responsible for any injury or health issue happening during the use of the studio.
