Booking – Cancellation policy

  • No refunds will be provided for cancellations of the booking.
  • It is only possible to change the date of the booking. In case of modification of the date of the booking, the following terms apply:
    • Up to 5 days before the class: the change of the date is free of charge.
    • From 5 days to 2 hours before the booking: 50% of the total price will be extra charged. A payment link will be emailed to the person changing the last minute booking. If the payment is not made within 15 days the cost of the date change is deducted directly from the customer’s credit card. If it is not possible an invoice is sent. 

    • In case of illness or emergencies, the above terms and conditions apply and we cannot take into consideration medical certificates or the like.
    • For those with gift cards or promotions, half of the full (non-discounted) price of the workshop will be charged.

  • In the case of a no-show without notification, it is not possible to reschedule the booking to another date or receive a refund. No exceptions are made: in case of illness or personal matters, the terms and conditions mentioned above apply.

  • In case of a course with multiple sessions is the student’s responsibility to be present at all the classes. In case of absence to only one class we offer the possibility of recover it. If the student misses more than one class, it is not possible to make up all the classes but only one. 

Finished works
Creations produced during the course will be fired twice and this may cause shrinkage, a warping or cracking of the object. Glaze colors may vary from the original test. No refunds will be given for unsatisfactory results of any kind or broken/cracked pieces.

Extra pieces
Each workshop includes a maximum number of items included in the price. If the participant wants to make more, it is possible and an additional fee of CHF 20 per extra creation will be charged. Payment for extra creations must be made at the time of pickup by the person collecting the creations by credit card. It is not possible to give creations before they are not paid for. In the case of uncollected items, the price of the extra item will be included in the invoice along with the handling fee.

Prices 
Prices of activities, material and shipping fees are subject to change, and we reserve the right to do so.

Pickup
Creations are stored for up to 6 weeks from the date of receipt of the pickup email. After this time an email reminder of pickup will be sent with further prolugation of the pickup. If there is no response to the email or the person does still not pickup their creations we will assume that the person is no longer interested in having their items and we will discard them without notice. An invoice including handling and disposal fees will be sent to the person who booked the class.

Participants
The person booking the course for other people is responsible for pickup and/or payment for any materials not included in the workshop. If pickup or payment is not made, this person is responsible for assuming all costs of the other participants.

 

Course cancellation
In case of insufficient number of participants or illness of the teacher, it is possible that the course will be cancelled. In case this happens it is possible a refund of the full price or to register for another date for the same course or workshop. 

Shipping
On request it is possible to send the creations by mail. The creations are sent by B mail within 1-2 weeks. The creations are packed with materials suitable for the transport of fragile material. No money will be refunded if the creations arrive broken, the package is lost or the recipient provides us with incorrect address information.

If the shipping address is wrong and the parcel is returned, the recipient has to pay 20 CHF which includes the cost of resending the parcel and the handling fee.

Shipping is only possible within Switzerland. 

Atmosphere and consideration of the others
LOKI studio is designed to be a calm place where people can create within a peaceful atmosphere. For this reason we kindly ask you to not talk too loudly and to act by respecting the peaceful atmosphere of the studio during the course or workshop. We also ask you to consider those around you by taking up only as much space as you need to work. 

Users cannot use/work on computers, eat or smoke inside the studio. Calling on the phone requires going outside.
In case of inappropriate or disrespectful behavior of any kind toward other partecipants or the staff, LOKI Studio reserves the right to send the person away. In case this happens it is not possible to have a refund of the price of the workshop or course.

taster class

No pieces included
No pieces are included in the price of the taster class, if the student wish to keep his creations, our staff will professionally finish them. An amount of 20 CHF is charged to each finished object and paid on the day of the pick up. If the student does not want to keep the object he/she is required to express this clearly to the teacher at the day of the taster class. If the student chooses the glaze color and communicates this to the teacher it means that he/she wants to keep the item and therefore has to pay for each object. No refund is made for unclear situations, complaints, or if the student decides he or she no longer wants the item after the taster class.

Workspace

members workspace


Minimum requirement
The minimum requirement to access the workspace for members is to have taken at least one 10-hour pottery course in the discipline intended to be practiced during the session. The user must know how to create, glaze, and know the whole process of firing and handling materials.

Cancellation policy
No refunds will be provided for cancellations of the booking. It is only possible to change the date of the booking. Modification of the of the time or date of the booking can be made up to 2 hours before the start of the booking and is free of charge. In case of no-show without notification a fund of 30 CHF will be directly deducted from the customer’s credit card, and if that is not possible, an invoice will be sent to the person who made the booking.

 Location
The workspace for members is located in the studio called “workspace.” It is not possible for a member to purchase or use the single session which take place at the shop. All individuals using the member workspace must be members.

Booking
It is mandatory to book the workspace slot (2 hours) from the timetable on our website. It is possible to book the spot up to one hour before the session starts. If the slot is full, it is possible to subscribe to the waiting list and the user will be notified if a slot becomes free.

 

Opening hours
In case there are planned events or classes the workspace remains closed and cannot be accessed. We reserve the right to cancel or delete workspace slots if there are planned events or other classes. 

The user will be asked if they want to reserve the pottery wheel. If the user reserves the pottery wheel, he or she must have taken a course of at least 10 hours on the pottery wheel.

Extend the session
If there is availability of space, the work session can be extended after agreement with our staff, the extra hours must be paid directly at the studio.

End of the session
The user must finish his/her session on time. All users are requested to clean their workstation and the used materials at the end of their session. Cleaning must begin 20 minutes before the end of the session. The rules written on the pink slips found in the studio must be followed for cleaning.

Studio introduction
In order to use the workspace in a safe and optimal way a mandatory introduction is scheduled with every new user of the studio after the first booking. The introduction session lasts approximately 10-15 minutes and is free of charge. 

Firing service 
All firings are entirely done by our staff. The work are fired every 1-3 weeks depending on the availability of our kiln. The user is not notified when creations has been fired but if they want to know, he/she can always contact us by email. 

Works ready to be bisque-fired
All items left on the “ready to be bisque fired” shelf are considered ready to be fired. Materials can no longer be recycled once things are placed on this shelf and then fired by our staff. The user is responsible for paying for the all the bisque fired material, which amounts to 15 CHF per kilo (if no glazing is desired). All firings are done within 1-3 weeks. During the weeks before Christmas, it is possible that firings take up to 4 weeks. 

Works ready to be glaze fired
All items left on the “ready to be glazed fired” shelf are considered ready to be glazed fired. Items are placed in the kiln as they are placed on the shelf. It is the user’s responsibility to check that the items are ready for the glaze firing, clean the bottom well and follow the instructions made on the pink sheets. All firings are done within 1-3 weeks. During the weeks before Christmas, it is possible that firings take up to 4 weeks. 

Signature 
All user items must be signed on the outside of the bottom with the same signature. The signature must be clear and legible. All objects with this signature will be considered to belong to the user. 

 

 

 

Finished and work in progress work
Refund
Creations produced during the workspace will be fired twice and this may cause breakage, shrinkage, a warping or cracking of the object. Glaze colors & clay may vary from the original test. No refunds will be given for unsatisfactory results of any kind or broken/cracked pieces. The user must pay for all fired material used even if it is broken. No discount can be applied.

Pickup
The finished creations will be stored for a maximum of 6 weeks. After this time, any uncollected creations will be discarded, and an invoice including handling and disposal fees will be sent to the user.

Work-in-progress works
Work in progress must be stored in the predefined spaces and cataloged as per the regulations. All work in progress works are allowed to be left for up to 4 weeks. After this time our staff will recycle it without notice. 

Bisque-fired works
All work left in the designated space of work ready to be fired will be fired by our staff within 1-3 weeks.
All bisqued fired works can be stored for up to 4 weeks in the affixed space. After this period they will be thrown away and an invoice will be sent to the user with the material price (15 CHF/Kg) and disposal fees. The staff will not notify the user before this happens.

Breakage of works
If an object breaks or cracks during the firing, the user must pay the full price of the object, which is 25 CHF per kilogram if it’s glazed and 15 CHF per kilogram if it’s not glazed.


Improper handling of materials
It is strictly forbidden to glaze or use improper materials to decorate things that are not bisque fired. If such items are placed on the shelves used for firing and are fired, the user assumes responsibility for paying any costs of repair or replacement of the kiln. In severe cases, LOKI Studio reserves the right to revoke membership and access to the workspace. 

External material
It is strictly forbidden to use external materials. All materials processed in the studio must come from the studio. 

Storage space
We do not offer storage space for own tools or aprons. If the user wants to use them, he has to take them home.

Workspace guidelines (pink sheets)
It is mandatory to use our and materials and follow the studio rules as per the guidelines (pink sheets). In case of improper use the space and materials as per the rules, the user is responsible to pay any expenses in case any kind of material or equipment is damaged. We reserve the right to revoke access to the studio in case of recidivism or gross negligence.

Calling on the phone requires going outside. Please treat everyone and everything with respect.

In case of inappropriate or disrespectful behavior toward other clients or the staff, LOKI Studio reserves the right to revoke membership and access to the studio. No compensation of of of the session, membership and materials is made in this case. We invite clients to report to us any disrespectful or wrong behavior by other users.

It is not allowed to bring other people to the session unless they are members. It is not possible to come accompanied by children or babies. It is not possible to bring animals such as dogs or others during the session.

membership

Minimum requirement

Cancellation policy
Our membership system uses an automatic monthly billing system directly through the given payment method, until the customer cancels the membership. It is the customer’s responsibility to cancel the membership in time. The membership cancellation can be done in the customer dashboard under “Membership > Cancel membership”. No refunds will be provided for memberships not cancelled before the renovation. 

If the user unsubscribes from the membership, the membership will be active until the old renewal date. 

Membership pause
It is not possibile to pause the membership but only cancel it.

Discount on courses/workshops and material
Each member benefits from up to 30% discount on selected courses and workshops and from a discount 5 CHF/Kg on the material. In order to benefit from the discount on the courses and workshops the member needs to have an active membership until the day of the last class. If the membership subscription is canceled before the end of the course, the attendee is requested to pay back the discounted amount. The discount on the material is applicable only if the user has the membership during the production of the goods and at the moment of the payment of the material. Whenever these conditions are not satisfied the user is requested to pay the regular material price which is 30 CHF/Kg.

Session reservation
It is mandatory to reserve the workspace session before coming to the studio. The session can  be reserved up to one hour before the session begins. In order to make the booking and use the space the member needs to have a valid membership, both at the moment of the booking and during the workspace session. 

Session cancellation
The booked session can be canceled until 2 hours before the beginning of the session. In the case of no show without notification, the member is required to pay a penalty fee of 30 CHF. Payment will be deducted directly from the customer’s credit card.

Studio holidays 
During the studio holidays, the workspace is closed and cannot be used. Because of the studio holidays it is not possible to pause the membership, extend it or receive compensation in the form of money or discount. The studio holidays are already calculated in the membership price. The studio closing dates and days are posted and updated in advance on the website page dedicated to the Membership  under “opening hours” and it is responsability of the member to manage his/her membership according to the studio holidays. 


Rights and duties
Members must follow workspace rules like all other users. They do not have priority over the reservation of workspace seats and do not have preferential treatment over other customers. In the event of negligence or more reminders of any nature LOKI Studio reserves the right to suspend membership and access to the workspace at any time. 

Waiting list
If you join the waiting list you will be notified when someone cancels their membership and there are free spots. The person on the waiting list must then enroll themselves as soon as possible. Priority cannot be given to former members or students.

gift card

Refund
Gift cards cannot be redeemed for money.

Changes
Gift cards are generally usable only for the type of workshop or course selected by the person purchasing it. Upon request, the gift card can be used for other offerings by paying the difference in price. The price difference can be paid in the studio on the day of the workshop/course. If materials are not included in any of the wished workshop or courses, they must be paid for separately. If the chosen activity costs less than the value indicated on the gift card, no refund will be provided, and no remaining amount can be used for any other workshop or activity

Expiration date
All gift cards are valid for one year from the order date. All bookings made after one year are no longer possible through the gift card. No discount, new code or money refund is possible if the gift card has expired. 

Promotions
All gift cards cannot be combined with any promotion or discount. 

Shipping
All the orders are processed and shipped within 3 business days to the given address. The gift card is sent with Swiss A post. Shipping is only possible within Switzerland.

All orders received after 12 pm are calculated from the next day. The studio is closed Monday and Sunday, so those days are not counted as business days. To receive your gift card on time, it is recommended that you order it one week in advance. 

The gift card is shipped to the address of the person who orders it. It is the responsibility of the one ordering the gift card to enter the correct shipping address. 
In case of re-shipping due to wrong address, an invoice of 5 CHF will be sent to the which includes shipping cost and handling fees.
