In our Taster class, you’ll have the chance to try two distinct pottery techniques and get your first taste of the ceramics-making process. In the first part of the class, you’ll experience the art of crafting small objects on the pottery wheel, and in the second part, you’ll explore the magic of handbuilding. By the end of the session, not only will you have learned new skills, but you’ll also gain a clearer understanding of what it’s like to work with ceramics. Plus, you’ll have your very own beautiful creation, which can be professionally finished by the LOKI studio staff after the class.
Please note: The pottery taster class is designed to give you a taste of the experience of making with clay. No pieces are included in the price, if you wish to keep your creations, our staff will professionally finish them for you. An amount of 20 CHF is charged to each finished object. The finished work can be collected starting from 4 weeks after the class. You will be notified by email when the objects are ready.

The class will be held in English.
One apron will be provided by the studio. In any case, it is recommended to dress comfortably as it will get dirty! It is highly recommended not to have long nails.
If you decide to keep your creations, our staff will trim, fire your pieces twice, and glaze them after the class. They will be ready within four weeks after the workshop date. The staff will send an email to the person who made the reservation when the creations are ready for pickup, and they can be collected during opening hours.
Children above 5 years of age are welcome to join this workshop. Anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult who is also taking the class.
- No refunds will be provided for cancellations of the booking.
- It is only possible to change the date of the booking. In case of modification of the date of the booking, the following terms apply:
- Up to 5 days before the class: the change of the date is free of charge.
- From 5 days to 2 hours before the booking: 50% of the total price will be extra charged.
- In the case of a no-show without notification, it is not possible to reschedule the booking to another date or receive a refund. No exceptions are made: in case of illness or personal matters, the terms and conditions mentioned above apply. Further terms & condition can be found here.
Complimentary coffee, tea, and water are free of charge and available at the studio.
