In the first 3 hours of the morning session, you’ll focus on creating objects while learning the centering technique. After a 1.5-hour lunch break, the afternoon will be dedicated to mastering the trimming technique, where you will refine and enhance your pieces.
After the course, the staff will fire your creations in our kiln and then glaze them. During the course, you can choose from 3 available glazes, and we will glaze the pieces for you. If you prefer to glaze your own pieces, you can reserve a free 2-hour session during our workspace, where a staff member will guide you through the glazing process, or you can glaze during another class. If you want to glaze your pieces, please email us. Please note that the glazing session can be held at least two weeks after the course.
The course price includes all the materials and firing costs. The student can produce up to 8 pieces.
The class will be held in English.
One apron will be provided by the studio. In any case, it is recommended to dress comfortably as it will get dirty! It is highly recommended not to have long nails.
Following the trimming class, the staff will fire your creations and they will be ready within four weeks after the last date of the course. The staff will send an email to the person who made the reservation when the creations are ready for pickup, and they can be collected during the opening hours of our pottery stu.
After the trimming class, the student can choose from three glazes, and the staff will glaze their pieces after firing. If the student prefers to glaze their pieces themselves, they can do so during the workspace sessions or the upcoming glazing classes. We invite the student to contact us at hey@lokistudio.ch to schedule the glazing class!
The creations will be ready within 4 weeks after the glazing class.
Children above 5 years of age are welcome to join this workshop. Anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult who is also taking the class.
- No refunds will be provided for cancellations of the booking.
- It is only possible to change the date of the booking. In case of modification of the date of the booking, the following terms apply:
- Up to 5 days before the class: the change of the date is free of charge.
- From 5 days to 2 hours before the booking: 50% of the total price will be extra charged.
- In the case of a no-show without notification, it is not possible to reschedule the booking to another date or receive a refund. No exceptions are made: in case of illness or personal matters, the terms and conditions mentioned above apply. Further terms & condition can be found here.
Complimentary coffee, tea, and water are free of charge and available at the studio.
