COURSE DETAILS
  • 420 CHF per person (all material included)

In the Mixed techniques beginner course, you’ll have the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of handbuilding. We’ll cover essential ceramics techniques such as coil building, pinching, slab folding, and glazing. By the end of this course, you can expect to have gained the foundational skills needed to start working with clay independently and take home beautiful handmade homeware like cups, bowls, plates, and vases.

For those interested, it’s possible to dedicate half of the course time to learning how to work on the pottery wheel in addition to handbuilding. If you choose the pottery wheel option, you’ll learn techniques such as centering, wedging, and trimming, which means you’ll have slightly less time for handbuilding.

If there is a large number of attendees, the group will be split into two subgroups, allowing students to rotate and experience both techniques. During the final lesson of the ceramic course, everyone will learn how to glaze their creations.

During the booking process, you’ll be asked if you want to learn both techniques (pottery wheel and handbuilding) or just focus on handbuilding.

This course is open to everyone and is perfectly suited for beginners!

The course price includes all the materials and firing costs. The student can produce up to 12 pieces.

The class will be held in English.
