You’re invited to our exclusive one-day wine and pottery tasting event on Saturday, November 23rd!

Join us for a delightful experience where you can savor a glass of exceptional wine from our new partner, Cantina alla Maggia, while immersing yourself in the relaxing world of pottery. Choose from three exciting activities, or indulge in our special combo package to enjoy them all!

TASTING OPTIONS

Get hands-on with the pottery wheel and discover the magic of this captivating technique! In the first 5 minutes of the class, our instructor will demonstrate how to create a piece on the wheel, and then it will be your turn! If you choose to keep your creations, our staff will professionally finish them for you, and they’ll be available for pickup in about 4 weeks. A fee of 20 CHF per piece applies, and it can be paid directly at the studio during the event.

During this mini workshop, you’ll create beautiful Christmas ornaments using the slab folding technique and cookie cutters. You’ll work with recycled clay from the studio, which has a stunning marbled pattern. After the session, the ornaments will be fired and will be ready for pickup within 4 weeks after the the event. The price includes 5 pieces. If participants wish to make more, it will cost 3 CHF per additional item. Extra pieces can be paid for directly at the studio on the day of the event.

During this one-hour session, you’ll have the opportunity to paint 5 Christmas ornaments or customize a small to medium-sized item like a cup or saucer. Our instructor will start with a brief introduction on how to use the materials, and then you’ll be free to get creative and paint your chosen pieces. The price includes 5 ornaments or one small to mediums size cup or saucer. If participants wish to make additional pieces or a special item that is not included in the offer, an extra charge will apply. Extra pieces can be paid for directly at the studio on the day of the event.

For those looking to experience all three activities, we’ve created a special program that allows you to participate in each one! If you choose the combo, the schedule is as follows:

  • 2–3 PM: Pottery wheel tasting (at the Workspace)
  • 3:30–4:30 PM: Christmas ornaments making session (at the Workspace)
  • 5–6 PM: Pottery painting (at the Shop)
  • Price: 100 CHF per person

EVENT DETAILS
During the event, you can enjoy a complementary glass of red or white wine from our swiss wine partner, Cantine alla Maggia, who will be with us throughout the year during our pottery painting and wine sessions, as well as private events, offering a unique and relaxing experience of ceramics and wine.

The wines we have selected for you are:
  • White Wine: La Lepre, Bianco del Ticino DOC
  • Red Wine: L’Usignolo, Rosso della Svizzera Italiana

During the event, each guest will receive a complimentary glass of wine (18+, adults only). Please note that a second glass or any additional wine purchases will not be available.

Cantina alla Maggia winery is located in the Delta della Maggia in Ascona, Switzerland, and is rooted in the agricultural estate Terreni alla Maggia, which dates back to 1930. They cultivate 85 hectares of fields and 11.5 hectares of vineyards, committed to preserving traditions of quality and sustainability. PRACTICAL INFORMATION

All items will be ready within four weeks after the event date. The staff will send an email to the person who made the reservation when the creations are ready for pickup, and they can be collected during opening hours.

Children above 5 years of age are welcome to join this event. Anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult who is also taking the class.

The consumption of wine is limited to adults (18+).

BOOKING INFORMATION
  • No refunds will be provided for cancellations of the booking.

  • It is only possible to change the date of the booking. In case of modification of the date of the booking, the following terms apply:
    • Up to 5 days before the class: the change of the date is free of charge.
    • From 5 days to 2 hours before the booking: 50% of the total price will be extra charged.

  • In the case of a no-show without notification, it is not possible to reschedule the booking to another date or receive a refund. No exceptions are made: in case of illness or personal matters, the terms and conditions mentioned above apply. Further terms & condition can be found here.
